Presentation of Klaus Lindgaard Hoeyer

Klaus Lindgaard Hoeyer, PhD, Professor, Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.

He received his PhD in Medical Ethics at University of Umeaa, Sweden, and then joined Department of Public Health at University of Copenhagen. He has been visiting scientist at, among others, the Department of Social Studies of Medicine, McGill University, Canada, King’s College, University of London, UK, University of Minnesota, USA, and University of Sydney, Australia. 

Dr. Hoeyer’s research is focused on the organization and regulation of healthcare systems, in particular with respect to introduction of new medical technologies. His area of expertise is ethics as a form of regulation and exchange systems for human bodily materials and health data. In 2016 he obtained an ERC Consolidator Grant Policy, "Practice and Patient Experience in an Age of Intensified Data Sourcing" and in 2017 the Elite Research Award of the Ministry of Research. 

Dr. Hoeyer has been appointed as an ad hoc member of the SAB in 2017.
