The heterogeneity and plasticity of adipose tissue

May 30 - June 3, 2022

Comwell Portside

Copenhagen, Denmark

This summer, we will gather some of the top scientists in the world studying brown and white fat biology and anti-obesity strategies. We are looking forward to insightful discussions and groundbreaking ideas on future directions in these research areas.

We also look forward to welcoming you to Copenhagen, a city which some refer to as “the happiest place in the world”. Following a dark and rainy winter, Copenhagen comes to life. You will be able to enjoy a city in bloom with unique microbreweries, cozy coffee shops, and an excellent restaurant scene. We hope you will be inspired by the Copenhagen biking and running culture as well as the innovative nature of Danish design.

In the heart of this city, a new research initiative has been formed called CPHBAT, a collaborative, Interdisciplinary unit that connects adipose research groups from the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research at the University of Copenhagen and from Center for Physical Activity Research, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital.
