Our lab focuses on the influence of lifestyle factors on the risk to develop metabolic disorders later in life or in the next generation offspring. More specifically, we aim to understand the mechanisms by which dietary factors and physical activity remodel the epigenetic content of metabolic cells and gametes.

Our group is using various genomic approaches in cell systems, animal models and interventions in humans to address the contribution of epigenetic factors in health and disease. Our work on epigenetic inheritance benefits from the outstanding resources and the collaborative network of the GECKO, a consortium funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (Challenge Programme).
