Research focus

  1.  The development of novel non-invasive gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS), liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) methods to examine the metabolic pathways of glucose and lipid metabolism in the liver, muscle and brain under normal physiological conditions as well as in insulin resistance and NAFLD.
  2. The identification of targets to reverse hepatic and muscle insulin resistance, NAFLD and type 2 diabetes in humans and animal models.
