Romain Barrès
I am Professor, Group Leader and Program Coordinator at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR). I have obtained my Bachelor in Physiology from the University of Toulouse (France) and a Master and PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Nice Côte d’Azur (France). I have conducted my postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Prof. Juleen Zierath at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, after what I worked as a Lecturer at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. In 2010, I joined the CBMR to establish the Environmental Epigenetics lab at the University of Copenhagen. I am Head of the Gametic Epigenetic Consortium against Obesity (GECKO), Associate Editor for Frontiers Endocrinology and member of the Editorial Board of Environmental Epigenetics. I am recipient of the Helmholtz Young Investigator in Diabetes Award (HeIDI). I am trainer in Leadership and Management for scientists for hfp-consulting (https://hfp-consulting.com)
