Tuomas Kilpeläinen is an associate professor at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research where he leads a research group studying the genetics and epidemiology of human obesity. Before moving to Copenhagen in 2012, Tuomas completed a PhD at the University of Kuopio, Finland, and a 3-year postdoc at the University of Cambridge, UK. He was a visiting researcher at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York in 2015.
