How to acknowledge the Metabolomics Platform
General
Please recognize the Metabolomics Platform’s contributions to the scientific improvements in your project by acknowledging the Metabolomics Platform in publications, oral presentations, posters etc. Being acknowledged is very important as it serves as documentation for the the platform's value and performance.
Examples are available below for acknowledging the Metabolomics Platform in publications and oral presentations, respectively. Remember to notify us when a Metabolomics Platform acknowledgement is published.
Acknowledgment section
When using data generated by the Metabolomics Platform and analyzed elsewhere:
- “We acknowledge the Metabolomics Platform at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) for the technical expertise and support.”
When using data generated and analyzed by the Metabolomics Platform:
- “We acknowledge [X], [Y], [Z] and the Metabolomics Platform at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) for technical and computational expertise and support.” (Please [insert] the names of the Metabolomics Platform members that have helped you.)
For projects involving direct instrument access at the Metabolomics Platform:
- “We acknowledge the Metabolomics Platform at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) for the instrument access and technical”
When the Metabolomics Platform has made substantial input to the project, please consider including the Metabolomics Platform staff as co-author(s).
Material and Method section
Contact the Metabolomics Platform if you need a method description of the provided lipidomics and metabolomics service(s) and please add the following acknowledgment:
“_____________ was performed by the Metabolomics Platform at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research.”
